Nolani makes activewear from natural fibre only. No polyester, no nylon, no elastane, no synthetic thread. Everything that follows is a consequence of that one decision.

Where this came from
The question that started it was narrow and slightly annoying: why is it that a shirt can be cotton, and a pair of jeans can be cotton, but a legging cannot?
The stock answer is performance. The real answer is mostly cost and speed. Elastane is inexpensive, it is forgiving of a mediocre pattern, and it lets a factory sell one size range to four different body shapes. Take it away and you have to solve the fit properly.
So we took it away, and then spent the time.

What we will not do
We will not put a certification mark on this site that we do not hold. If a claim on any page here does not carry a number, a named process or a measurement, it should not be there, and you should tell us.
We will not describe the range as high performance. It is not, in the sense the industry uses that phrase, and the fibre page says exactly where it stops.
We will not sell before the fit is right. That is why this is a waitlist and not a shop.

Delhi NCR
The studio is in Delhi NCR, which is where the pattern-cutting, the fitting and the sampling happen. It is not a showroom; it is a room with a cutting table, a steam press and a great deal of cloth on rolls.
Manufacturing is close enough that a sample can be corrected and re-cut inside a day. That proximity is the reason the fit council is workable at all — a note on a Tuesday becomes a new sample on a Thursday.
We will name the manufacturing partner on this page once the first production contract is signed. Naming one before that would be a marketing decision rather than a true statement.

Came from spinning rather than from fashion. Responsible for the single-origin decision, the compacting spec, and for the fact that nothing in the range is sewn with polyester.
