The band does the work and the straps only locate it — which is how a bra actually functions, and why the band here is wide rather than token.
Knitted at a tighter gauge through the underbust, with an encased natural-rubber tape rather than a folded hem, so it returns to length instead of growing into one.

02Construction
Natural rubber tape sealed inside a rib casing — nothing abrades against skin, nothing meets detergent directly.
A second full layer of the same rib, not a mesh panel. It compresses rather than lifts.
Sewn with organic cotton thread. No overlock ridge under a band.
03Size and fit
- Close through the body. Between sizes, take the smaller for support and the larger for ease.
- Rated for low to medium load — Pilates, lifting, walking. Not distance running.
04Care
Cold, 30°C, inside out, with like colours.
Flat or on a line. A hot tumble dryer is the one thing that will shorten this garment's life.
Warm, on the reverse. Cotton takes a press; the rubber in the band does not.
Bleach, dry clean, or use fabric softener — softener coats the fibre and kills the absorbency you paid for.
05The fibre argument, in miniature
Every waistband and every bra band in the range carries a tape of natural rubber, tapped from a tree, encased inside a knitted cotton channel so it never touches skin and never meets detergent directly.
Read in fullA shelf bra in most garments is a strip of the same jersey folded over and stitched down. It supports nothing; it exists so the garment can be sold without one.
