High-waisted Micro Shorts
Weight is how a natural fibre stays opaque under stretch. There is no other mechanism.
Chocolate, a Chocolate shade. One dye bath, no bleach beforehand.
Knitted heavier than a synthetic equivalent, deliberately — a lighter cotton goes translucent in a squat and nothing else fixes it.
The rib runs vertically, so it stretches across the leg where you need give and recovers along the leg where you need length to hold.
The waistband is knitted, not moulded, with an internal natural-rubber tape.

02Construction
Wide enough not to fold over in a hinge. Internal natural-rubber tape.
One diamond. No seam crosses the centre.
Side seams offset forward by 20 mm so nothing sits on the outer thigh.
03Size and fit
- High-rise and compressive. Between sizes, take the smaller.
- Heavier than the synthetic equivalent. That is deliberate and it is not going to change.
04Care
Cold, 30°C, inside out, with like colours.
Flat or on a line. A hot tumble dryer is the one thing that will shorten this garment's life.
Warm, on the reverse. Cotton takes a press; the rubber in the band does not.
Bleach, dry clean, or use fabric softener — softener coats the fibre and kills the absorbency you paid for.
05The fibre argument, in miniature
Every waistband and every bra band in the range carries a tape of natural rubber, tapped from a tree, encased inside a knitted cotton channel so it never touches skin and never meets detergent directly.
Read in fullRecovery is a fabric's ability to return to its original dimension after being stretched. Elastane does it chemically. A rib knit does it structurally — the fabric is folded into itself at the loop level, so stretching it unfolds a pleat rather than extending a fibre.
Read in fullCotton absorbs water and holds it. That is the whole limitation and everything else follows from it.
Read in fullCotton shrinks. Compacting takes most of it out before the cloth is cut, but "most" is the operative word — expect under 2% in length on the first wash, and expect it to be over after that.
